Can't remember who against but I did remember he scored from outside the area. I remembered it because I thought then that he should get a few more and to be fair, he probably has it in his locker. If the side starts to play better and he can get further forward...

If we had played an open expansive game with so many key players out we would have got tonked, no doubt about it. Real Madrid did with a full team
Our game plan was perfect for the night & more importantly it worked
Spurs didn't make Adrian work too hard & we could very easily have stolen a win.
We almost certainly would have done if Kouyate hadn't missed the easiest chance of the night
Penalties for Spurs? None of their shouts were justified.
Just because Spurs are usually gifted soft penalties in this fixture, doesn't mean they have a divine right to be given one every time we play them

Tactics mate going toe-to-toe with Spurs we would have got annihilated as the they would have exploited all the space we would afford them. So with discipline and compressing the space we make it difficult that is an art in itself.
What you saw was too opposing tactics that cancelled each other out, I would use chess as an analogy but i dont think its quite as highbrow as that.

We had the two best chances of the game aside from the goals. Ayew clean through, Kouyate with a header I would have put away.
Couple that with an outstanding defensive performance and I’d say that any talk of our performance being embarrassing is utter, utter bollocks.

To be fair, the way we set up was an embarrassment in my opinion.
No ambition.
Defended resolutely, but other than that (and the world class strike from Obiang and a couple of flashes of brilliance from the ever improving Masuaku) we were completely shit.
Still, I'd have taken a point. Can't say I'm happy with the performance though.

He won’t score another one like that because that was a once in a career for any player. He has, and will score goals from outside the box because he strikes the ball very cleanly.
I thought the same about Sherwood Cholo, he is everything a Tottenham fan should be and shows why the rest of the football world think they are massive knobheads.
